Follow this integration guide to connect your Google Analytics 4 data to SourceMedium.

GA4 web and app analytics flow into SourceMedium for first-party traffic and attribution context. SourceMedium supports two GA4 connection paths: a self-serve OAuth connection and a BigQuery export connection.

How to connect

Most stores should use the self-serve OAuth connection. Use the BigQuery export path when your GA4 property already exports event data to BigQuery or SourceMedium has asked you to connect GA4 through exported event tables.

Option 1: Connect with OAuth

1

Start the GA4 connection

Find GA4 in the connector picker and click Connect with Google Analytics.
2

Authorize with Google

A Google window opens. Sign in with an account that has access to your GA4 property and approve the read-only access SourceMedium requests for Analytics and basic Google account information. SourceMedium uses that access to read Analytics data and identify the connected Google account; it does not change anything in GA4.
3

Confirm it is connected

When you finish, the connection shows Connected and SourceMedium begins syncing. If your account has more than one GA4 property, confirm with SourceMedium which property to use.

Option 2: Connect with a BigQuery export

If your GA4 property exports events to BigQuery, SourceMedium can connect from that export instead of the OAuth connector.
1

Confirm the export is active

In Google Analytics, confirm your GA4 property is linked to BigQuery and that event tables are landing in your Google Cloud project.
2

Share the export details with SourceMedium

Provide SourceMedium with the Google Cloud project ID, dataset name, GA4 property, and the date range available in the export.
3

Grant access and confirm

SourceMedium will provide the account or destination details needed for setup. Once access is in place, SourceMedium confirms the export is readable and begins syncing from the BigQuery tables.
