Follow this guide to use Global-E metadata in SourceMedium.

Global-E is not connected as a separate SourceMedium data source. SourceMedium uses Global-E-related order note attributes that are already present on Shopify orders through your Shopify integration.

Requirements

  • Use of Global-E for international commerce within Shopify
  • An active Shopify integration
  • Global-E order note attributes present on relevant Shopify orders

How SourceMedium uses Global-E

Global-E can affect international Shopify reporting because duties and tax details may be written to Shopify order note attributes. SourceMedium uses Shopify order data to support Global-E reporting where those attributes are available. SourceMedium does not ask you to authorize Global-E separately.
1

Confirm Shopify is connected

Complete the Shopify integration. Global-E note attributes are read through Shopify order data.
2

Confirm Global-E note attributes are present

Confirm recent international orders in Shopify include the Global-E details you expect SourceMedium to report on.
3

Ask SourceMedium to check reporting

Let your SourceMedium account manager know your store uses Global-E so we can check order classification, attribution, and duties reporting during onboarding.
